DX4020 Connection - RPS

  • Flip the dip switches 1,2,3 to the down position. The remaining dip switches should be in the up position.
  • Power down the device.
  • Reapply power to the device.
  • From the command prompt type telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 9999 (where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the DX4020).
  • Enter 1 for channel and press the Enter key. The following properties should be modified.
  • Port = 7700
  • Connection Mode = CC
  • Datagram Type = 02
  • Enter 9 to save the changes
  • Install the RPS software and dongle drivers. The software version must be version 5.12 or greater in order to function with Symphony AC.
  • User Name = admin
  • Password = 1111
  • From the primary screen click on New and select D9412GV3.
  • Highlight the panel and click on View, Edit, Network.
  • Type the IP address and click OK.
  • Double mouse click on the panel and click on the Connection button.
  • Select Network from the drop down pick list and click Connect.
  • Connection should be established in a few seconds. With the panel connected, select GV2 AUX. Double mouse click on the SDI Automation and select Yes from the drop down pick list to enable SDI Automation.
  • Click Save and OK.
  • Click on Send and Receive.
  • Select Send to Panel.
  • Click Disconnect.

Setting the DX4020 Connection for Symphony AC

  • Flip dip switch seven (7) to the up position, all remaining dip switches should be in the down position.
  • Power down the device and reapply power after five (5) seconds.
  • From the command prompt type telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 9999 (where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the DX4020).
  • Enter 1 for chan3001
  • Connection Mode = C0
  • Accept the remaining defaults and enter nine (9) to Save and Exit.

NOTE: The firmware revision MUST be version 8.05 in order to function properly with Symphony AC and GV3 panels. Please contact Bosch for the firmware upgrade if necessary.
