Creating Elevator Floor Groups

NOTE:   Please read this article if you haven't configured your hardware yet.

  • Click on the Access menu and select Access Levels.
  • Unlock the pad lock to allow editing of the Access Levels module.
  • If Controller Groups are being utilized, select the appropriate Controller Group from the drop down pick list next to Controller Groups.
  • Click on the Floor Groups button, this option is used when elevator floors.
  • From the drop down selection menu to the right of the Elevator Reader tag, select the Elevator Reader to associate the floor groups to.

NOTE: Elevator readers and floors will not display on the floor group tab until the hardware is properly configured in Hardware Manager.  Please read this article if you haven't configured your hardware yet.

  • Right click in the Floor Groups Box, and click on Add New Floor Group.  Once this has been completed, a new Floor Group will be displayed in the tree titled New Floor Group. Please note:  Floor groups are global, once a floor group has been created and floors have been assigned, any floors associated to one of the readers on the controller will be assigned to the floor group for the other reader using the associated point address.
  • To modify the name of the Floor Group, highlight the New Floor Group, right mouse click and select Edit Description.  This will allow the operator to assign a logical name to the Floor group.  Floor groups are used to logically group together floors based on Time Schedules.
  • Tick the box next to the floors to be assigned to the elevator group. Once the Elevator Floors and Time Schedules have been assigned, drag and drop the Elevator floors to the correct Floor Group.
  • Select the appropriate Time Schedule.  This can be accomplished by clicking on the drop down arrow to the right of Time Schedule and selecting the desired schedule.

Adding Elevator Floor Groups to an Access Level

  • Click on the Access menu and select Access Levels.
  • Unlock the pad lock to allow editing of the Access Levels module.
  • If Controller Groups are being utilized, select the appropriate Controller Group from the drop down pick list next to Controller Groups.
  • Click on the Floor Group button, this option is used when selecting Elevator Floors.
  • From the drop down selection menu to the right of the Elevator Reader tag, select the Elevator Reader to associate the floor groups to.
  • Highlight the next available Access Level from the tree located in the column on the left.
  • Perform a right mouse click on the Access Level and select Edit Description to modify the description of the Access Level.
  • From the Floor group box, highlight the Floor Group from the tree, when selected the Floor Group will be highlighted in blue.
  • Select the appropriate Time Schedule.  This can be accomplished by clicking on the drop down arrow to the right of Time Schedule and selecting the desired schedule.
  • Highlight the Access Level from the tree on the left and perform a right mouse click.  Select Add Selected Floor Group to the Access Level.  Once this step has completed the Floor will appear below the Access Level with the associated time schedule.
