Enable a video codec for a user when exporting video
If a video codec does not appear for a user when exporting video, but the codec appears for other users, you can modify a registry key to make the codec visible. To make the codec visible, modify the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveMovie\devenum\{33D9A760-90C8-11D0-BD43-00A0C911CE86}\codec
Where codec is name and version of the video codec. For example, mpg42. Set the following key to 0:
