With 2014 now in full swing, I wanted to take a moment in this first newsletter of the year and share some reflections on 2013.

While each year has brought new accomplishments to Aimetis, 2013 was special for the Company for many reasons. For starters, Aimetis had its best year financially since inception with record revenues, representing a year-over-year growth of 22%, culminating a five-year growth of 169%. This leadership in growth resulted in the Company receiving the prestigious Deloitte Fast 500 award, recognizing Aimetis as one of the fastest revenue growing technology companies in North America. The Company also continued to provide new and innovative solutions to a diverse customer base around the globe, bringing the total deployments for the Company over 10,000. However, perhaps the most significant achievement was the celebration of the company’s 10 year anniversary. The past decade has seen the company emerge from a small start-up in a Waterloo, Canada basement, to a globally recognized leader for innovation and growth in the market of intelligent network video solutions.

While we are proud of these wonderful accomplishments, we recognize that our success is not possible without the support and contribution of our 800+ partners. Together, we share in this celebration and to each of you individually – a very sincere Thank You.

Aimetis Announces New Vice President of Global Sales

David Almasi brings more than 20 years of leadership and sales experience in technology and physical security companies. Most recently, he was regional vice president at Stanley Security Canada, overseeing the growth and performance of the second largest system integrator in Canada. Prior to Stanley, Almasi held sales leadership positions with GE Security and Ericsson.

Entertainment – Atlantic Palace Hotel & Casino, Morocco

The Casino is now benefiting from instant playback at high resolution which is vital for prompt resolution of disputes and protection of revenue. Casinos must assess many aspects of visitor behaviour, guarding against sleight of hand, substitution of dice, theft of chips and inappropriate card counting. This was not achievable with the previous system and has now been able to thwart potential criminal activity.

Case Study

Maintenance & Support customers now have ability to move licenses across server farms

Continually enhancing the benefits of our Maintenance & Support (M&S) offering, subscribers are now able to move licenses from server farms without charge. For those not on a current M&S subscription, commencing April 1^st, there will be a fee for moving licenses from server farms. Customers will need to purchase the AIM-1I-TS SKU from their reseller in order for support to process and complete license move requests. If this is an urgent request we will accept Visa/MasterCard payment to expedite this process.

End of Life Product Versions

In accordance with the published Aimetis Support Lifecycle, customers that are currently using End-of-Life product versions have two options to ensure you are receiving complete support. First, the purchase of an upgrade to a generally available, supported product version will provide you with the best path to a fully supported product. Secondly, customers can purchase a per-incident support SKU (AIM-1I-TS) to receive support from Aimetis.

*Note: Product versions that are End-of-Life will not be patched or updated by Aimetis, configuration and installation issues will be looked at only.
