Install error 1324 on Windows Vista

Issue

You are trying to either install or un-install Symphony on Windows Vista and receive the error: Error 1324 "invalid character"

Cause

The default documents location in Vista is causing this.

Solution

1. Click the Windows Start icon.
2. Right-click on Documents and select Properties. The Document Properties dialog box opens.
3. Click the Location tab and click Restore Defaults.
4. Try to install (or uninstall) Symphony.
5. Once installation or unistallation is complete, you can change the documents path to its previous location.
