SEM Deployment Models

Senstar Enterprise Manager™ (SEM) can accommodate several deployment models:

• Symphony VMS only
• Symphony VMS + SEM Bridge
• Third-party VMS + SEM Bridge

Symphony Deployments

SEM can be used with Symphony by itself or in conjunction with the SEM Bridge appliance. SEM provides centralized cloud-based administration for large and distributed Symphony VMS installations. When an SEM Bridge is installed on-premises, device inventory, direct-camera health monitoring, and automated camera firmware management features are supported.

Non-Symphony Deployments

For customers using a third-party VMS, SEM can be deployed via the on-premises SEM Bridge as a cloud-based camera monitoring and management solution. In this scenario, SEM provides continuous camera availability monitoring, a centralized cloud-based camera health dashboard, outage reporting, device inventory, and automated camera firmware management.
