Where to Buy

Aimetis VE Series™ Video Analytics is a family of intelligent video engines for physical security and business intelligence applications, providing real value to organizations across many vertical markets. With Aimetis VE Series™ Video Analytics, IP video surveillance becomes more than just recorded video data. Real-time information alerts, advanced event-based search of archived video data, and on-demand reports are just some of the intelligent features available at your finger tips.

Aimetis VE Series video analytic algorithms are seamlessly incorporated into Aimetis Symphony™ video surveillance software. The full set of algorithms are available with an Aimetis Symphony Enterprise license.

Choosing the Right Aimetis VE Series Algorithm

Aimetis VE Series Video Analytics are highly specialized algorithms, each designed to perform optimally in different environments. Most of the Aimetis VE Series algorithms are designed to perform more than one function, decreasing CPU requirements. Use the chart below to select the algorithm that meets your particular requirements for functionality, environment, and hardware.

Application
The camera loss detection function detects the loss of video signal (e.g. cord cut) from any camera.Camera Loss Detection
The camera obstructed function detects when a camera has been moved, spray-painted, covered or otherwise been tampered with.Camera Obstructed
The motion detection function alerts on any pixel changes between images in the field of view.Video Motion Detection (VMD)
The motion tracking function compares relevant pixel changes between images and alerts on relevant foreground motion while ignoring irrelevant Motion Tracking
The object classification functionality is able to segment objects between people, vehicles and unknown objects.Object Classification
A virtual fence refers to an invisible digital fence or tripwire that can send an alert when an object crosses in one or both directions.Virtual Fence
The wrong direction function will alert on motion going against the specified flow of traffic.Wrong Direction
Multiple area alarms refers to the ability to highlight multiple zones in a field of view and alert on activity in any one of them while ignoring activity in unselected areas.Multiple Area Alarms
The counting functionality counts objects entering and leaving a field of view or crossing a virtual fence.People/Vehicle Counting
The left/removed item function alerts on background image changes due to new or removed objects in the field of view.Left/Removed Item Detection
The loitering/dwell time function recognizes how long a particular object stays in a defined field of view.Loitering/Dwell Time
The auto-PTZ tracking function will automatically control PTZ cameras when relevant activity or a rule- break is detected.Auto-PTZ Tracking

Custom Analytics

For unique applications, organizations can utilize Aimetis expertise and experience in computer vision technology to develop custom video analytics solutions to solve security or business problems. Previously developed custom analytics have included:

  • detecting people on train tracks, while ignoring trains and people getting on/off trains
  • detecting items removed from a retail shelf and alarm when more than a certain amount are taken off the shelf during a defined period
  • detecting electronic article surveillance lights at retail exit doors
  • detecting card-skimming devices overlaid on ATM and other self-serve kiosks
