AIRA v5 first NVR to analyze and record from mega-pixel and 360 degree cameras
WATERLOO, ON, Canada; April 11, 2005 – Aimetis Corp., the leader in intelligent video surveillance software (IVS) today announced that Aimetis’ AIRA v5 network video recording software supports mega-pixel and 360 degree cameras from leading manufacturers. By leveraging high resolution images, AIRA can automatically track and classify objects much further away than previously possible using conventional analog cameras. With true digital zoom capabilities, users can read license plates and make positive identifications—two problems not previously addressed by fixed cameras.

Aimetis’ award winning product, AIRA, which is based on "computer vision", analyzes incoming video against user-defined security policies or rules.
