VIVOTEK Launches Intelligent Network Camera Powered by Aimetis Video Analytics

Aimetis Corp., a global leader in intelligent video, today announced an OEM partnership agreement with Taiwan-based VIVOTEK (TAIEX: 3454), a leading provider of Internet Protocol (IP)-based video cameras and encoders. VIVOTEK's new intelligent network camera will now include Aimetis' VE Series™ video analytics embedded on DSP-based digital media processors from Texas Instruments (TI).
VIVOTEK will launch an intelligent network camera featuring the Aimetis VE250, a zero-configuration video analytic engine that works reliably in both indoor and outdoor environments delivering intelligent video capabilities such as perimeter breach detection, multiple area alarm zone, wrong direction, along with other applications.

Aimetis' award-winning intelligent video software is based on research done in computer vision, a sub-field of artificial intelligence. The intelligent software processes raw video data and outputs meta-data which can be interpreted by any video management application and used as a basis for event detection, such as loitering or digital fence applications. VIVOTEK's new intelligent camera will be fully supported by Aimetis Symphony™ video management software, the company's new open IP-surveillance software platform.
VIVOTEK will be demonstrating its new intelligent camera during ISC West in Las Vegas from April 2 - 4 in Booth #7121.
