Aimetis Announces Support for Mega-Pixel Cameras
AIRA v5 first NVR to analyze and record from mega-pixel and 360 degree cameras

Aimetis Corp., the leader in intelligent video management software (IVS) today announced that Aimetis' AIRA v5 network video recording software supports mega-pixel and 360 degree cameras from leading manufacturers. By leveraging high resolution images, AIRA can automatically track and classify objects much further away than previously possible using conventional analog cameras. With true digital zoom capabilities, users can read license plates and make positive identifications-two problems not previously addressed by fixed cameras.

Aimetis' award winning product, AIRA, which is based on "computer vision", analyzes incoming video against user-defined security policies or rules. When an event violates a policy, for example, a person enters a restricted area or a vehicle parks in a forbidden zone, Aimetis can alert a security agent automatically or take automated action such as sound an alarm, lock a door or automatically control a zooming camera to focus on the perpetrator.
