Job Description
Aimetis, a computer vision company, has an immediate opening for an expert software developer to help implement the next generation of our video management software. The successful candiate would join our team of 10 highly skilled developers and work from our Waterloo headquarters.
Position Requirements
- 5 years C++ experience (concurrency/sockets)
- 1 year C# experience (UI/concurrency/sockets)
- Microsoft Visual Studio experience
- Must live within 20 minutes of Waterloo
Position Advantages
- Bachelor degree in computer science (or similar)
- Database programming (SQL knowledge)
- InstallShield experience
- DirectShow programming experience
- Web service development experience
- Experience with Subversion (or some other source control tool)
- Experience with JIRA (or some other bug management tool)
- Unit testing experience
- Willingness to travel
Interview Process
Candidates of interest will be asked to participate in an initial interview lasting approximately 20 minutes. This interview can be conducted face-to-face or by phone.
Select candidates will be asked to attend a second interview at our Waterloo headquarters consisting of a 20 minute discussion of the position with our Chief Software Architect, followed by a 70 minute programming test. The test will be performed directly in Visual Studio 2005 and will consist of 4 console mode programming problems (no UI or disk I/O development is involved).
